Argentina coach Santiago Phelan is hoping captain Felipe Contepomi will be fit for Saturday's match against France, naming him Monday in a squad of 26 to prepare for the game.
The veteran fly-half injured his left knee during last Saturday international which Argentina lost to Scotland and was forced to leave the field after 62 minutes.
Fourteen of the 26-man squad play their club rugby in France and like Contepomi, 32, who plays for Toulon, are familiar with their opponents, who beat an Argentina A selection 37-14 on Friday.
Argentina go into the match after losing both their last two games to Scotland 14-26 10 days ago and 9-13 on Saturday.
