In this section we list the teams that we focus on. All of them are Southern Hemisphere teams and are always at the cutting edge of rugby. There are no favourites here and the team are listed alphabetically.
Argentina
have been left out in the cold for too long. There are hopes that
they will be included in the Tri-Nations in the near future. Most
of their players ply their trade in Europe but at the end of the
day they are a Southern hemisphere team.
They recently beat England at Twickenham and although they have
run the All Blacks close a few times, they have never beaten them.

Australia
were the first team to win two World cups and in 2003 when they
hosted the Rugby World cup they came within a minute of possibly
winning it a third time. Since that time they have struggled somewhat
and in 2005 they had a shocker of a year equalling their worst ever
losing streak. The Wallabies are however never far off the pace
though.

If you haven't
been on Planet earth for the last 100 years you might not know that
New Zealand's rugby team is known as the All Blacks. The All Blacks
enjoy the highest winning percentage of all rugby teams worldwide.
They take rugby very seriously and their fans are fanatical. They
have won the Tri-Nations more times than any other team.

The
Pacific Islands is a bit of a makeshift Rugby team. It's made up
of Fiji, Samoa and Tonga. Most of the players play their domestic
game in Australasia (mostly NZ). The Fijians are famous for their
Sevens Rugby while the Samoans and Tongans are also famous for their
huge runners. The idea of combining the islands to make one team
has been welcomed by the IRB and makes an exciting if unpredictable
addition to the Rugby circuit.

South
Africa's rugby team also has a pretty famous name. They play as
the Springboks and in 1995 they were crowned as the World Champions
winning the first World cup that they appeared in. They enetered
the Tri-Nations as World Champions but it took them two seasons
to win a tournament. They are constantly being plagued with controversy
and politics which can only be having a negative effect on their
rugby.
